1.56ct Natural Colorless Sapphire – Ceylon Cushion Cut
This 1.56 carat natural colorless sapphire from Ceylon has an elongated cushion cut measuring approximately 7.22 × 5.22 mm. Its neutral white appearance and crisp faceted flashes make it a versatile loose gemstone for engagement rings, pendants and bespoke fine jewelry.
The sapphire has SI clarity, as supplied, and has received traditional heat treatment. Both the clarity and treatment are fully disclosed so clients can make an informed comparison with untreated and higher-clarity white sapphires.

Natural Character and SI Clarity
SI clarity means natural inclusions are present and may be visible under magnification or in certain lighting conditions. These characteristics are part of the sapphire’s natural formation and should be reviewed through the close-up photographs and video before purchasing.
White sapphire has a softer, more understated light return than diamond. This stone should be selected for its natural origin, elongated cushion shape and individual character rather than presented as visually identical to a diamond.
Jewelry Ideas for This White Sapphire
- An elongated cushion-cut solitaire engagement ring
- A protective bezel setting for a clean contemporary design
- A natural diamond halo for additional contrast and sparkle
- A three-stone ring with tapered baguette side stones
- A minimalist white sapphire pendant
- A bespoke promise, anniversary or right-hand ring
White gold and platinum create a cool, seamless appearance, while yellow or rose gold provides warmer contrast. Ask your jewelry maker to inspect the inclusions and recommend the safest prong or bezel placement before setting the stone.
